It was discovered in 1696 that the land in this region has exceptional growing conditions, so production began and continues to this day. Indonesian coffee beans tend to have a low acidity and a high bodied profile.
This coffee is grown near Lake Toba, the largest volcanic lake on Earth. It is processed using Giling Basah - a traditional wet hulling procedure, created in Sumatra. A full body with a spicy aroma that has hints of tobacco. Catimor and Typica are the two bean varieties.
